The Story of the Death of a Father

The Death of a Father is a devastating event regardless of if it happens to a family or to a civilization. Fathers represent half the sacred act of creation. In Buddhist philosophy, “Yang represents Heaven, the Father, and the Creative…while yin represents Earth, the Mother, and the Receptive. Yin and yang are dependent upon one another…” (…) And so why do I compare the Death of a Father as experienced by an individual or a civilization as similar?
